Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician - Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature - Assist with ambulation and transfers - Collect specimens for testing and perform basic laboratory procedures - Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals - Assist with wound care and dressing changes - Maintain a clean and safe patient environment - Document patient information accurately and timely
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a nursing assistant training program and certification - Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care procedures - Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.
g.
, eClinicalWorks, Cerner) - Ability to operate medical equipment, including Durable Medical Equipment (DME) - Knowledge of sterile processing techniques - Experience working with special needs populations (e.
g.
, behavioral health, children) - Basic knowledge of airway management and gastric lavage procedures Note:
