Project Manager- Engine Oils

The primary purpose of this role is to represent Lubrizol Engine Oil Technology at the customer interface in partnership with our Sales team. The role involves technical project management and problem solving. A key function is conducting product approval testing programs in accordance with industry guidelines that meet customer and industry requirements.

  • Support Passenger Car, Heavy Duty Diesel, and/or Small Engine Oils customers.
  • Conduct engine oil test programs according to ACC and API requirements to achieve timely approvals against industry or OEM Specifications.
  • Identify action steps, estimate time and cost, and develop project plan (scope, objectives, milestones).
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to deliver products that meet or exceed their expectations and Engine Oils strategic plans.
  • Prepare reports, documentation and other written information thoroughly.
  • Communicate project status to customer teams and group/department for activities in assigned project areas.
  • Address customer technical service (CTS) requests in a responsive manner.
  • Develop solutions based on facts data, and logical assumptions.
  • Prepare and provide technical training presentations to customers.
  • Represent Lubrizol s interests at industry forums as required.
  • Complete customer reports, data packs and reports of call in a timely manner.


  • Bachelor s degree in relevant technical discipline
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work with technical support services and understand their inter-relationship and value to the commercial groups
  • Ability to work effectively in multifunctional, global teams
  • Display a basic knowledge of company products, competitors, industry specifications, OEM s, and markets
  • General knowledge of statistical techniques
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office software or equivalent

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
