The Ceramics Group segment of PCC Airfoils and consists of three manufacturing locations - Wickliffe, Ohio, which also serves as Ceramics headquarters, Cleveland, Ohio, and Sanford, NC. The Ceramics Group operations supply ceramic cores and proprietary custom blended ceramic particulate systems used in the manufacturing of the investment castings. Products and systems manufactured in these operations include: custom blended ceramic shell systems, injection molded silica and alumina cores for investment cast airfoils, slurry cast cores for land-based turbine casting applications and ceramic extrusions. The operations are expanding due to sales volume increase and this provides unique opportunities for career growth and development: Description: We are presently seeking a Product Engineer who will have complete responsibility for a segment of our Aerospace Space product line. Responsibilities: Assume complete responsibility for a segment of PCC Ceramics Group Aerospace core product line, from die kick-off through foundry qualification and transition into production. Continuous yield enhancement and cost reduction efforts through designed experimentation for assigned product line. Customer service as related to assigned product line. Production workforce training on critical skills, as needed ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Interaction with die-maker, customer and tooling personnel. Manufacturing process review. Develop and maintain necessary tools and procedures to meet customers' blueprint. Relay to QA and production necessary information to produce castings. Gating design. Prepare travelers. Establish development timetables for new jobs. Participate in correcting engineering-related problems. Release of developed jobs. Review customer drawings and spec changes for impact. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required with technical background a plus. At least five years experience is also required. Must have experience working in foundries. Knowledge of ceramic core manufacture is required. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
