The Product Regulatory Professional is accountable for providing product regulatory support and service to enable the global sale, sampling, and distribution of all company products, intermediates, raw materials, and developmental samples.
The Product Regulatory Professional gathers, interprets and applies compositional, physical, hazard and compliance information of Lubrizol products to ensure compliance with global product regulatory requirements across all business units globally for all customers.

Applying a broad knowledge of global chemical regulations, the product regulatory professional will support both hazard communication and product compliance functions.
Using their experience in both compliance and hazard communication, this position represents our corporate Product Safety and Compliance team on corporate or regulatory processes such as Manufacturing, Product Number Requests and Global Substance Data Management.
This is a highly cross-functional position with regular communications with R&D, procurement, supply chain, and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes chemical compositions and physico-chemical properties of products to enable timely creation of MSDSs and labels in support of key customer programs.
  • Manages Manufacturing Authorizations (MA s) approvals for PSCD by conducting compliance and hazard communication reviews of new or changing products.
    Works with procurement, master data, and manufacturing planning organizations to complete these reviews and communicate decisions.
  • Reviews and approves Product Number Requests (PNRs) supporting the commercialization of new LZA blends.
  • Supports Global Substance Data Management which entails the review of substance data (compliance, hazard communication, toxicology) generated through compliance registration/notification processes, ensuring that data is integrated into our regulatory data systems (SAP, SAP EHS).
  • Conducts health, environmental, physical and/or transportation hazard assessments on products, intermediates, raw materials, and developmental materials
  • Analyzes and ensures the data integrity of hazard assessment, chemical composition, regulatory compliance and physico-chemical properties data in the corporate SDS and label authoring system.
    Works with research & development and testing, master data, procurement, process sourcing and technology (PTS) teams, and suppliers to obtain critical missing data or correct any data concerns.
  • Provides internal and external customer support related to hazard communication and product compliance.
  • Contributes to system enhancement and development projects to maintain compliance with ever-changing global chemical regulations and related regulatory requirements
  • Leads projects to support Product Safety and Compliance Department, Lubrizol, and system enhancement and development to maintain compliance with global chemical regulations.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of BS Degree in Chemistry, EHS, Toxicology, or related field of study
  • 5
    years global regulatory experience, preferably in a Health, Safety, and Environment-related field
  • Practical experience and broad knowledge in global hazard communication and product compliance within the chemical industry
  • Knowledge and experience in TSCA, REACH, global chemical control laws, and hazard communication
  • Knowledge and experience with industry SDS authoring and compliance management systems
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities
  • Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and results driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using SDS authoring software
  • Proficient with computer basics and common business-related computer software programs

Considered a plus

  • Educational background or practical experience focused on organic or synthetic chemistry
  • Practical work experience in a lab or in a facility supporting the production of chemicals
  • Experience using integrated software applications (SAP's EHS module)
  • Practical experience in global hazard communication or transportation classification within the chemical industry related to SDSs and labeling

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
